mage Doctor сглаживает "ступенчатые" линии jpeg-изображений, уменьшает ореол вокруг контрастных участков, устраняет артефакты и убирает "шум". Плагин работает довольно медленно, но результат стоит того, особенно если нужно увеличить небольшой файл, когда нет возможности переснять картинку с более высоким разрешением.

Image Doctor позволяет восстановить фотографию из интернетной превьюшки, вытащить максимум информации, когда утерян или стерт случайно большой первоначальный файл. Физический размер картинки увеличивается в Photoshop, а затем фильтр помогает убрать артефакты.

В состав Image Doctor- входят 4 модуля, каждый из которых предназначен для работы с определенным типом дефектов.

Smart Fill - устраняет крупные артефакты ( фигуры людей на пейзажах, дорожные знаки, мусор в траве - и замещает их фрагментом фона)

Scratch Remover - предназначен для работы с относительно небольшими дефектами (царапины, даты, текст), одновременно удаляя нежелательный фоновый шум на изображении.

Spot Lifter - удаляет дефекты с сохранением фоновой текстуры и мелких деталей изображения, осветляет темные круги под глазами или тени от глубоких морщин, стирает татуировки, сохраняя при этом фактуру кожи. Помогает быстро удалить с изображения пыль или пятна.

JPEG Repair - устраняет характерную для сжатия методом JPEG блочную структуру изображения.

Image Doctor- работает, так же, с выделенными участками изображения, то есть исправить можно именно то, что нужно.

Image Doctor 2's range of skin retouching capabilities has also been expanded. The software’s Skin Softener and Blemish Concealer filters together offer a wider array of skin beautifying capabilities, including wrinkle softening and blemish removal.

The performance upgrades in Image Doctor 2 result from changes to the original rendering algorithms and to the program's multithreading capacity. Other new improvements in Image Doctor 2 include 16-bit support, native support for Macintosh Intel computers, multiprocessor support, and a variety of user interface changes.
